The main character, Jozef (Tomáš Maštalír), is a Ostrava homicide squad detective who has been punished for using illegal methods to catch a brutal killer during a routine annual review of unsolved murders. As a result, he stumbles upon the case of eighteen-year-old Eva. Twenty years ago, someone strangled her in her apartment. With sixteen days left on the limitation period, he decides to take advantage of them. His desire to find the killer does not prevent him from once again using methods that are on the edge of the law.
