The king has fallen seriously ill. His only daughter, Princess Michaela, learns of an ancient legend about the Crown of King Svarog, which could help heal her father. She sets out on a quest to find the Lost Kingdom, but along the way she needs to shoe her steed and sharpen her sword. She stops at small village and looks for blacksmith Martin, a kind-hearted, hard-working young man who has been blind since birth. When the princess does not return from her dangerous quest, Martin sets off after her. He is accompanied by a sprite, who gives him good advice and keeps him company in exchange for a sweet bun. Even though Martin can't see, he is able to overcome every obstacle, including the evil witch and his main adversary, the mighty wizard Vlkan, who is the author of all evil. At a crucial moment, Martin's blindness turns out to be an advantage when the cursed King Svarog, doomed to eternal loneliness, fails to turn him into stone. Despite his handicap – or even thanks to it – Martin succeeds in defeating the evil that plagues the land. He receives the half the kingdom and the hand of Princess Michaela as a reward. The classic fairy-tale therefore gets an original spin. The story features various magical creatures, spells, tension, and mystery, all in the enchanting atmosphere of Christmastime.
