This will be our Duchoň!
Jun 21 2024 The story of the music legend and one of the most popular singers of the 70s and 80s - Karol Duchoň - will hit the cinema screens next summer, portrayed by Vladislav Plevčík. Alongside the viewers will see Anna Jakab Rakovská, Gregor Hološka, Agáta Spišáková as well as beloved actor Tomáš Maštalír.
"Karol Duchoň is a singer whose music is known to all generations of Slovaks, and that is why we often have the feeling that we know him. It has taken us a long to decide who could portray him best, who would be malleable enough and who would let Duchoň stand out, because it is his story that we are bringing to the cinema screens. We didn't want someone too famous pretending to be him. Vladko Plevčík is perfect for the role. He can sing, he's a talented actor, and combined with the work of make-up artist Martin Jankovič, you'll have the feeling that it's the turn of the 70s and 80s and you're spending evening in the V club," says Peter Bebjak about why they chose the young actor for the role of Karol Duchoň.
